The University of Idaho

Since 1889, the University of Idaho has been a place that expects more from itself, more from its students, more from knowledge and more from life. At our main campus in Moscow, Idaho – and our centers throughout the state -students find many opportunities to share in our community and culture.

University of Idaho Arboretum & Botanical Garden

The jewel of the University of Idaho’s lush, landscaped campus is the 63-acre UI Arboretum and Botanical Garden which fills the valley south of the President’s Residence on Nez Perce Drive – against a backdrop of the tilled, rolling Palouse hills.


Latah Trail Bike Path

The Latah Trail Foundation (LTF) was founded in the spring of 1998, by a handful of people with a vision for safe, non-motorized transportation and recreation along the former Moscow-Arrow rail line.


Moscow Farmers Market

The Farmers Market is a popular Moscow tradition that was established in 1977. The Saturday morning event celebrates local farmers, artists, craftspeople and musicians by providing them with an opportunity to interact directly with the community and its visitors. Highlights include fresh produce, meat, delicious homemade baked goods, healthy nursery plants, beautiful flowers and quality handmade crafts.

The Market is located downtown on Main Street and in Friendship Square. It is held each Saturday, May through October, from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Local musicians perform from 9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.


Appaloosa Museum & Heritage Center

The Museum is designed to provide a self-guided exploration of exhibits that include a theater; a hands-on Kid’s Area; a library & archive featuring books, magazines, and videos; and the Apalousey Trading Post gift shop. Exhibits themes range from the early evidence of spotted horses in art and literature, to the relationship between the Appaloosa and the Nez Perce Indians, to the highlights of the modern Appaloosa Horse Club.


Idaho Repertory Theatre – Moscow

Idaho Repertory Theatre is one of the Northwest’s oldest professional summer theatre companies. Since 1953 it has brought professional productions and equity actors to Idaho, introduced new plays, staged readings and organized summer workshops for young people. From classics to musicals, from comedy to contemporary, IRT always offers vibrant and entertaining theatre.


Camas Prairie Winery

Small family-owned winery in downtown Moscow, producing handmade red and white champagnes, Huckleberry, Strawberry and Raspberry honey Meads, Merlot, Cabernet, Lemberger, Chardonnay, Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Muscat “Domestic Goddess”, Pinot Gris, Wild Plum, Hot Spiced (mulled) Wine, & Hog Heaven Red. Enjoy our Tasting Room with its friendly atmosphere, or visit the Mezzanine Wine Bar where wine is available by the glass or bottle and can be reserved for events.



Third Street Gallery

The Third Street Gallery is located on the second and third floors of Moscow’s beautiful and historic City Hall. The gallery exhibits the works of local and regional artists for the enjoyment of residents and visitors to the community. Moscow City Hall is located at 206 East Third Street. Gallery hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
